EZ Flyer on The Discovery Channel

 Jan. 1st 1999

Television crews from Discovery Channel TV "discovered" first-hand the thrill of flying the E-Z Flyer, during a recent visit to designer Wayne Winters' facility in Calgary, Alberta. Wayne enjoyed the opportunity to participate in a  four part,1 hour TV segment called "Wings Over Canada", produced by The Discovery Channel. The show promoted and publicized ultralight and amateur-built aircraft. The Discovery film crew spent two days interviewing and filming Canadian aircraft designer Wayne Winters, as he put his two E-Z Flyer prototypes to the test in his ultralight training facility. Wayne owns and operates Blue Yonder Aviation, just outside Calgary.

The original E-Z Flyer prototype now has flown over 600 hours in Wayne's flight school, where it has been operated by over 100 different pilots of varying skill levels. They all report that the rugged and exciting aircraft is very aptly named, the "E-Z Flyer".
